schedule events
#1

why not some schedule events? that will prevent some events with only 3 persons like the one that shade hosted on sunday... i know that sunday is sunday but with some schedule events can allow more people in events...

But you will be disappointed when the gm that was supposed to host it doesn't show up for whatever reason.

Its true, already happened one time with me...But maybe an event that any gm can host?

I prefer Alzheimer than Parkinson. Better forget to pay the beer than pour it all.

Like weekly reg on XUO. Would be cool if we had it weekly here. And every GM who can host it would do it. Also i dont think people will be so dissapointed, i personally wont be... Cos of this event people will log on the shard at this time to join it, and even if GM wont show up people could gank atleast...If you remember on last XUO we had same population, 20-35ppl. But on sunday we could reach 70 cos of weekly reg... And there was a lot of gank this day... And this reg always had 35++ participants... I personally know ~10people who dont log in lately or stopped playing, but would log to join announced reg. And as i said even if noone from the staff will be available at the moment, those people still could gank if they see at least some activity on the shard... People doesnt log in cos they 99% sure - everyone afk macroing or stay in pits/near brit bank. And people who logs in to join regular tournament like to pvp => so they like to gank also...

ok but with schedule events he can organize his life to dont miss the event, or "msn" another gm to host it, like players organize their lives to play it... be gm is not only kill dragons with only one hit, they must have some responsabilities (not saying you dont have gm's i beleave you have alot Wink ). and like Gang said, schedule events could bring old players in active.

The GMs are all volunteers. They don't get paid for the job. You can't expect them to be on at certain times. Example: GM X should host every saturday from 8 - 9pm. Then his friend says: Hey are you coming to drink beer at my place?

Then you expect the GM to say no, because I have to host? It just doesn't work that way, especially when you don't get paid for it.

Then yes, the GM could ask someone else on msn and then what if they all say no? You still want a GM to be there to host your tourney. Or what if something in RL happens and you cannot tell anyone about it? Believe me, that happens more times than you think.

However, I do have a plan which still needs to be worked out a bit more. But you will hear more about that soon.

i have been logged in a bunch of times, and there is nothing to do and no pvp.. some gm's are on and do nothing.. need to bring back xuo style and take out the gump or shard will crash like before.. just saying that is to much in and not enough xuo.. if someone bring's back xuo or ***** all the players here would leave and go there better pvp and better skill gains.. just somwething for gm's and admin to think about... thank you bong water..

like they arent obligated to correct bugs, respond you in game when you are with any problem, or even pay from they own pocket the server host... but they do!! why? probably because they like to see us having fun... and think if you were a gm and host a event would you like to have only 3 persons on your event with probably more than 20 peoples on?? would you be motivated to spend time on a shard where your effort arent recognized?

I never told that a staffmember should just not do anything. If you do not host at all or fix bugs (which are actually developers jobs instead of GM) you cannot be in the staffteam and will not be in there. But it is impossible to tell them to be on at set times and request from them to be on at those times every week of the year.
