I had a boat with a bunch of crap on it that I used to sail around that magically disappeared.
Since when was the boat decay timer 1 day?
Regards...

I had two that decayed very quickly as well.
I think it was less than a week. What do you have to do to refresh the boat? Do you have to just recall to it and be on it/move it or do you actually have to open and close the gang plank? If you have to open/close the plank, that my be why it decayed if you only use it for fishing.

I don't know exactly what refreshes them but it is either from dropping the anchor or playing with the planks. At least thats what I would do to prevent decay when I would fish.
Anyway, this is being looked into so just hang tight until someone smarter than me figures it out:p

I checked and boat decay timer is 14days. Opening a plank refreshes the boat but I made some changes so now your boat also gets refreshed if you recall to it from a key or open it's cargo hold. Should be in on next restart.
About boats decaying in one day... at the moment I have no idea why would that happen. Was it a newly bought boat deed from a vendor and after a day of use it decayed? I'll look into this some more but if this keeps happening please post here and give me some details: How long have you had the boat? When did you refresh the boat last time? Was anchor lowered or raised when it was lost? Basically, as much info as you can give me that might lead to finding the problem would be appreciated.

Would have been pretty fun if it decayed while you were actually on it fishing.
