Can you change so the chests despawns faster? I treasure hunt alot and it happens quite often that i have maps to the exact same location and cant dig em up because the other chest is blocking the new one.

Well, it already despawn in 3 hours and I'm not sure I want to lower it.
You could just wait a while for the old treasure chest to dissapear before you start digging up the new one.

3Hours is almost an age when waiting

You could just change the timer to be like 5-10 minutes once the chest is completely empty. *shrug*

I open the map, find the spot that I know it should be, then proceed to wander around the spot for 10 minutes until I find the magic spot that I need to be in.

I think that if you're within a 30x30 square or so, you should turn to face the location of the treasure if you try to dig and fail. Maybe then I wouldn't rage every time I try to dig one up.

Isn't treasure chests kind of too good already? Things shouldn't be too easy

Dunno. I've only done level 1 treasure maps so far and they were always in huge nests of low level monsters like zombies and mongbats and stuff. I'm not sure but I keep thinking that they're leftover spawns of other peoples' treasure maps. So I have to clear them out, then run around spamming my dig macro, taking a moment to stare at UOAM, then staring at my in-game map, then at the treasure map, then going back to spamming.

I've even used a piece of string to line myself up with landmarks straight up and down and then finally I stumble onto it by luck.

Maybe I just suck at finding the spot. I was told you had to be within a 10x10 square to find it, but it seems more like a 5x5.

yea i dont think ima go do treasure hunt anymore. I got a level 5 map from guardian of destard so i trained cartography and lockpicking. When i finally dug up the treasure there wasnt even any vanqushing in it, just a bunch of junks lol
