What is really going on?
#13

Well yea obviously that too. Anyways i dont blame you really, i know how you almost cared to much when we first opened and when you feel you cant go to bed when its 2 am a tuesday evening, thinking something could happen while youre sleeping, youre bound to end up burn out/eventually bored.

Thanks for what youve accomplished nonetheless, i just hope we get someone to replace you as soon as possible, id hate to se inx die out. Maybe you can come to peace once again and come back when things have calmed down and just sit back and relax.

I think that because there are no other developers that want to participate, and the administration is done with it, that INX will most likely go down, could be wrong, but that is how it seems. I hope I am wrong and something could be done though...also would be nice to have some idea of what is going to happen since there are still 100 or so active people putting their time into this, I think they surely would like to know if their time is wasted or not.

Hi Maka, i agree that you are burnt cos seen all the people complaining etc... its not good.

But we have a problem man, In my opinion I think something is not working, cos if things works there isn't too much problems.

I know that you are working and developing this Server for us, not for you.
since the first day i've been playing here , macroing etc and trying that this server grew up, with ideas etc, probably i complained sometimes but its because there was some insane things.
One problem is that if everyone is saying Ideas, and no one answers them nor see that the server inst still changing, people will start to argue with others.

The main problems I see is that there isn't enough developers, the hard skill gain, and money matters. If you tell me that you can obtain a lot of money for increasing the skills, probably not so much people will argue.
I recognise that Taran is doing a great effort as same at in your time you did but sometimes we have to see that this is not as when we were 15 years, now we have more things to do, so we dont like hard things, only a few people, The rest is trying to get fun and probably meet other people at the server while playing.

Also dont think that everyone is saying bad things or been negative, otherwise this server would have 0 players, we are still hoping changes.
Its impossible that you read all the threads nor i think you should read em, but sometimes people is saying "I hope that Maka come soon" and more things. Probably you only see that there is negative things but just think that 100 people is hoping that you, taran and the rest of the staff get along with this project. We count with you, but if you need to rest, rest, but probably one or two decisions should be made soon.

Moreover i think that, sorry for saying this but if you want that the server grow up and be a better server, we need you to develope more things, to talk with the rest of the staff and decide what to do, hiring more developers or hiring more staff or whatever, but things should be changed as soon as possible

Think that this is like a business at the start of the business you will have to spent a lot of time or it wont get any profit.

PS: thx for all you(staff) gave to us
PS2: Its easier to look the bad things but sometimes if we look the nice things, we will see that they will tend to equalise Wink

see u soon Wink

Kit he probably isn't coming back to develop anything [ http://www.in-x.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3537 ] and I would feel the same way he does if in his position. Aside from that I think all we can do is wait and see what happens, maybe things could work out.

I have read this thread before my post, more or less is like my answer to his post.

Lets hope all could work, cos the pvp style here is the best :S

gg shard was only getting better while maka was around, without him i seriosuly doubt taran is going to do anything. 3 months without development in beta stage, I think we all know whats going to happen.

Shard's dieing indeed. What've you been thinking all along? After like a month it was obvious you can't beat a dead horse the same way it's been done with IN2 / INX and the countless incarnations of XUO. You can have a shard where greedy players get everything like the UOG-sponsored shards, or small rp/pvp shards with small but mature playerbase. Wishing for both is impossible, it's not 2003 anymore.

IN1 was great because the staff had a tight control on who could get in, and a heavy banhammer for those who didn't quite fit. XUO must've been great because of the no-holds-barred, easy-to-learn-hard-to-master PVP system. But that was years ago, and in this incarnation crucial parts of both shards have been lost in translation, thus leaving a bitter taste in both playerbase's mouth, blaming each other and the developers for what's been lost.

Presumably Maka has seen this and couldn't find a solution to that problem thus openly abandoned the project. I agree with him. None of the problems started now, or in december. It's been present since the start of the shard, but it took you this long to get bored of doing your old routines and realize everything's broken and change's needed.Testament to that is the fact all of those who pose now as saviours and messiahs of INX has been forum-banned in the past for generally being douches. That has fortunately changed now but that doesn't change the fact you're quite late with your world-changing ideas.

All in all, I don't have high hopes, in it's current state this place won't even last until summer.

Wow I don't know about everyone else, but I'm having a really really fun time and hope this thing sticks together for a lot longer. There are problems with the shard, but this weekend we topped at 130 players, which is FINE! We just need to get some dev hired that can make changes and see how they affect things (what have the devs been doing since the shard came up, anyway? I know they're working behind the scenes, but it's great to see higher-ups more publicly). This shard has great potential, it just needs staffing, badly.

Regards.

Im 100% Agree with Rabbi! We just need atleast ONE gm who's will be online more than others, and loads of ppl will be happy!
#23

I 100% Agree as well. This shard has GREAT potential, we need the staff to induce the proper arrangements to start the growing.

maka Wrote:I personally wouldn't blame it on the difference of the communities, but on the crowds of immature and impatient players in both.

That's no better than anyone else acting how they have been. These kids shouldn't be led on. I don't like the majority of them, but they work hard and often believe fully in the capabilities of this shard. IF, for anyone, do something, say something for them.

Then at least they can stop caring (which is doubtful) or things can get better.

Just to point out- this post isn't really an exclamation or accusation at you, it's just speaking in general of the overall lack of staff support, answers, or any care at all.
