Serious suggestion here. (Language Barrier)
#1

I would be more than happy to write extensive and very descriptive guides for the staff members. But we seriously need some guides for portuguese players, russians, spanish, and french. I've come across so many ports who don't got a clue, and everytime my gf isnt around to translate what spanish she does know, I end up spending about 30 min to an hour trying to help just one person. I don't mind that at all, I'm very patient, but I would like to increase the efficiency of my helping. I BARELY was able to help this fellow, and I'm happy I did. But to make this shard even more diverse and have even more cultures coming, 90% English speaking/writing community members isn't a great thing. At the very least, could we put together some help topics on the main page http://www.in-x.org for different languages?

*I have already written several guides for the shard, was told by many it should have been posted, like the shard command list that several players including the damn patient help of Elcid. The command list we currently have, is lacking way to much information.*

I agree with you. There are many people who doesn't speak/write english at all and they don't find help in the forums. I meet many spaniards who don't understand too much english. I could help with this issue since I am spaniard Wink
Odium knows I like to help a little bit Big Grin

PD: Galens, I hate you yet hahaha.

go for it Smile

i dont know how many portugese or russians are here... but to me its;

1) english
2) spanish
2) swedish
4) french

its not a typo, i wrote 2 twice because im not sure who has more...

anyways, the staff have enough to do, so if you can find some volunteers, go for it.

Love what part of Spain you from? I lived in barcelona for 2 years.

Also I can help with the spanish players and writing guides if you want. Might take some time to get all the vocabulary. Nasty axe of mighty ruin isnt exactly the type of words i learned in spain for every day living. Smile

Its funny cos

ruin = ruina;
Might = fuerza o poder;
Force = fuerza;
Power = poder o potencia;
Vanquish = derrotar o vencer;

I think the names of the weapons should stay as same as english all the people now whats the difference between ruin, might, force, power or vanquishing. otherwise Staff could put their original names with the + of damage:

Supremely accurate War Hammer of Vanquishing + 9.
Supremely accurate dagger of power + 7;
Supremely accurate Axe of Force + 5;
Supremely accurate pickaxe of might + 3;
Supremely accurate war Fork of ruin + 1;

so with the beautiful number u will see the extra damage Wink

see u

Yea I could figure those out hehe. I was just using that as an example that there are words that one would not normally use in life. Smile

I'm from Sevilla. It is at the south of Spain, into the region called Andalucía.
I can tell you that Barcelona (or the region called Catalunya) is not the best place to learn spanish, since they speak some strange language variation called "catalan". They are bilingual (spanish & catalan), but they like a lot to speak catalan instead of spanish. They don't love Spain too much, hehe Tongue

I really love Spain. Can’t wait to go back. You are right Barcelona isn’t the best place to learn Castellano since they have catalan and Valencian and Mallorcien all close by to influence them. I actually lived in andulucia in Cartagena and Murcia. I also lived in Zaragoza, Madrid, and Palma De Mallorca. I was there from 2002 to 2004 including when they had the train bombs by Eta, pretty scary stuff. Never made it to Sevilla but I have to say that even though it was small that Murcia was my favorite. You have to love the south, the people are so much nicer there. Smile

Oh my god, you lived much time and know many things about Spain :O I'm glad you love Spain so much Big Grin
I was in Murcia too, and I agree. It is a very nice city Smile
It's funny that you said "train bombs by ETA", because everyone thought ETA put them, but the "official" version in Spain is that they were planted by islamic terrorists and ETA had nothing to do ¬¬
I hate politicians ¬¬

Well from what i learned and saw there in spain I think it would be ETA more likely than other terrorists.

As far as places ive been if you get a chance to visit zaragoza go to El monesterio de la piedra. Really cool place. One of my favorites.
