Could we have npc interaction just like runuo. Having to type vendor buy, teach etc is getting a bit boring. Since we are running an sphere emulation but on runuo would it be possible to change it so we would have a menu ?

I agree with this.
It doesn't screw nothing, and it is more user friendly and all.
I believe this is one of the things we should keep from RunUO

Bah i hate that, so much. So annyoing to click each little thing, especially if ur just buying regs or other things quickly for macroing. But if u could implement both, id be fine with it.

I wouldnt mind if both were implemented too. I enjoy being able to restock my regs using the buy agent.

I think you can use both, in the runuo shard I used to play it was possible

A friend of mine ran a server in which there was a .dialog command. It would make a target appear and when you clicked a NPC it would open a conversation gump (much like a classical RPG npc interaction, like in Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire, etc). Examples:
Tavernkeeper:
.dialog, target tavernkeeper;
Open gump --> ''Hello there sir, can I help you?''
and the options:
* I'd like to buy something
* I've something to sell
* Any rumors?
* I'd like some information
* Goodbye
When you choose the ''rumors'' answer, another gump would appear with whatever the NPC knew, like the whereabouts of a monster champion, places with good loot, some info on a quest, etc. From time to time the answers would be refreshed with something new.
The players were quite found of it, added a whole new sphere of possibilites for NPCs and kinda made the quest more independent of the GMs. Oh, and the usual commands were also avaible, so no worries as to macroing.
Who knows? Might be nice to implement that here, hm?

^^^ Thats a helluva good idea. The nice thing about it is that staff do not have to do it alone. Hire some players to essentially write the scripts for the NPC's based off of their knowledge of spawns/dungeons/items.

Ah well. Guess it's not gonna happen, eh?

I don't really get it, is it that much trouble to write "vendor buy" than to click the vendor and then select buy?

Short answer - Yes
Just look at the way operative systems have evolved from dos to windows, it's all about the fast and easy access
I have to agree with them. This feature would incorporate a little bit of decoration for the roleplayer's side. I support these ideas 100% Though I am a roleplaying fanatic, I will not support ridiculous ideas just because they appear to be roleplaying or PVP. I am a neutral.
This feature brings a lot more diversity to the Vendor's appearance. Having a command such as .von (for vendor gumps on) and .voff (vendor gumps off) would be an even more diverse feature, those who wish to use it, may, and those who do not, may switch it off. It may be hard to script, but as of late, there are only PVP features being thrown around like candy in a christmas parade. You want diversity, originality, and uniqueness , well, are you willing to strive for it staff?
