its all about different timezones wich involve certain staff members to be more available to those who live in their timezones . For example , everytime i paged , Hate and Odium ( Sweden ) or Muto ( Spain ), would show up and help me with whatever was my problem. I've also got help from Vulcan , who i think is not from Europe and therefore lives in another timezone , different from mine. Bottomline is, depending on where you live you will most likely get help from certain staff members, but that doesnt mean those certain GM's will be the only ones available for you since as i have said above there might be still someone else around to offer his help. I completely agree with Silverwolf since hes the kind of guy who thinks the way i do , the difference between me and him is that i tend to keep the things to myself nowadays, instead of him who tries to let everyone know what he thinks so it could be for the better of the server and most of the times ends up being flamed by some people who i guess got nothing better to do than being d i c k s to the rest of the players.

Nah, Swanny. Leave him alone. He did a good job of expressing his opinion, politely, more so than when he gets on a rampant flame fest.

Good post Silver. I thought it was constructive and brought up some good points and counterpoints.

The staff is really professional, the only thing that might bugs players is when staff members actually go to the player instead of sending a message when they can only answer a "no" or "yes" Smile

But oh well.. good job, I already like the staff team Smile

Ive never understod why people page so much. Ive only page once here and that was a /hug to tarren heh.

On old IN in all my time there i only paged 2-3 times (exept for rewards).

GMs are just doing more than answering peoples question in-game. Like some might be working on known bugs throughout the place or tweaking loot, maybe cut back on your pages?Rolleyes Only time i really page is if i find a bug that needs to be fixed asap in the game in my mind. For example i found in wind the stairs didnt work and a teleporter put me into a wall. Other than that i try to keep my pages low and post in Questions and Anwers page.

I do my best to answer pages as quickly as possible. Half the time I am answering pages I forget to click the button saying I'm handling it and someone else will show up to answer the same page as well. This to me says we have enough staff on at most times.

Personally I think there are enough European staff at the moment. Another American staff member couldn't hurt but I don't know if it is necessary.

The reason you see the same people answering pages Silverwolf is because staff have other responsibilities than answering pages. You may never see Taran or Maka but they do the most work I assure you.

Other people have other responsibilities like reading RP stories and doing decorations and such things.

The only time I delay in answering a page is if someone says "GM please come!!!!!!"

In those cases I answer pages from people who took the time to express why they need a staff member because I don't know how long the undescriptive pages will take me to answer.

In addition half the pages from people are questions that have answers easily accessible on the forum or that can be answered by any player in britannia. People need to be more selective about what they page about so that we can answer people's pages that actually require GM assistance rather than pages like "How do I get out of covetous?" or "What's the recipe for a keg?"

Before you page please ask yourself whether a player on the forum could help you. If not then by all means page, but you guys need to seriously try a little harder to help yourself sometimes before asking for us.

On a final note, when you page and it says there are "X" amount of pages in the queue. This really isn't very informative information. Pages don't always get answered in order because people will page for a specific staff member. In that case we leave those pages for that staff member to answer. People paging for Taran or Maka or Azrael generally will have to wait a much longer time because they are busy with other stuff. In addition if someone logs out after paging we don't delete the page so it remains in the queue until they log back in. We leave those pages and answer the others so if you page and you are 5th in the queue, you may be the only person whose page I can really answer and I'll be at your side very soon. In short the queue length doesn't ever indicate that we are super busy and stretched thin.

Ive paged twice and both times i had a gm by my side within 3 mins. First was Ginz i think who placed a spinning wheel and loom in Jhelom tailor and 2nd was Vulcan who helped me with my dye tub. Both were quick and very nice.

Might be because im on european timezone and i try and describe my problem in the page so that it is easy to sort out the important ones first.
