.WOP then the spell. On IN1 some people did it with just macroing "Kal Vas Flam" to a key, but it seems its taken to a whole new level. Think its an XUO thing

Well this is their pvp that was part of the merge. I don't see it being changed unless they want it so.
Though as I have said in the past, my character is a gm mage, I think he would be able to tell the difference between a fake spell and a real one. Not that it matters, rp does not fit into it or taken into consideration when it comes to xuo pvp. Something we will have to live with.
Won't see me spamming though.
*edit* Oh also on IN you could tell the difference. Here, I am almost certain, there is no way to tell.

You can't tell the different s .wop makes it so that, it's the same text as a real spell. So having a option like UOA had (text color changer) wouldn't help out on here. Also pretty sure no INer will use it, we don't need spamming tricks to win.

I would like to suggest a rule that no rpers be allowed to spam.
Obviously it does not fit into rp... seeing as how nobody could speak that fast and a real master of magery would never be foolish enough to try such a trick on another master of magery.
Just wondering, what you guys think about this? Good rule or bad?

I don't see why they couldn't. Say it's a guild of just mages. It'd be their method of dueling and combating people attacking them. Like a secret attack.

Because when you cast spells or try to fake them your character speaks power words. By spamming you are no longer rping for the simple fact that your character would not be able to speak so fast.
For example if I was to flamestrike someone and wanted to spam a few fake spells as well, it may result in my character saying 20 words in 4 seconds. That is not possible or logical.

Even with a timer a character would just be yelping out jibberish trying to say all those words at once. I say the words Kal Vas Flam in about 1.2 seconds in rl. Now through in a single wop command, I would have to say it twice in that same amount of time. Say Kal Vas Flam twice as fast as possible or any 2 spell word combinations in that amount of time. It just isn't possible and I just think it would break a persons rp.

If you read the guides to XUO pvp that were posted long ago. There are some explanations of why spamming is there and used. When you get really good at XUO pvp there are tricks and strategies that come out of the spamming. It may be harder to see this since most pvp right now is ganking. But when tournaments start happening it will be more important.

Coming from IN i was much against the spamming, but we are merging and you have to accept some parts of the merge. The XUO PVP is one thing was promised and is not something that can be discussed. If you dislike it so much you can avoid using it. There were those who used it on IN just like there are here.

Making a rule against RPers using it is not needed. If you feel it hurts your RP then don't use it, that is a personal choice. There are always limits and work arounds for RP. RP can be used as an argument for or against almost anything. This is a game and the actual manifestation of multiple words coming from someone is how the mechanic works for PVP. If you want to RP that it is mages using strength of mind to throw off enemies reading them, you can do so I'd think. RP is imagination, imagine it however you like if it bothers you. Its the same issue as someone holding 100 clubs in your backpack, let alone 100 halberds. Learn to live with it please for the betterment of the world and to save us time reading the same complaints over and over.

I am gm magery and have 100 intelligence, therefore I know all there is to know about magic, my character is the best he can be. Yet someone who has less skills can trick my character to think that he is casting something when he really isnt... This doesn't make sense to me. I would think my character could and should be able to tell the difference.
I am not trying to change spamming, don't get that idea. I just hate to see people requesting rp items to look cool but won't change how they act or won't see their character as a real being but still just a character.
Of course I guess I just have to hope that the one gm in charge of rp can monitor everyone

good pvpers trick players you will be trciked your not use to the pvp we also use sound - health like we are actually using a scroll so yes you will be fooled you fool so stop talking like you know our pvp ok? =]
