So ppl who played XUO2(?) and what other shard got the chance to move their chars...
#1

Im not the best person to setup an argument for this, but atleast try understand my point of view...

i understand, u made it possible for ppl to move their characters to increase the amount of players playinghere, but what about the ones who doesnt, caus of economic shit with 500gp at start ur force to do what...? macro 100 stats and go kill some shitty zombies with ur bardiche, summon a blade spirit and wait for it to kill some gargyle?

And no, i dont care about "tricks" or "ways to do it that way or bla bla bla", when u start a new char from zero, economics are very important, simply because this isnt ***** opiate anymore, where y could macro almost any skill possible without even wasting regeants, but who the **** realy cared? IT was all about pvp anyways.

Ya im sure there are plenty of tricks to do, but for ppl who got their chars moved, i bet had a realy "nice" start, and for the "new" once, we get shitty 500gp to invest in what?
I refuse to make a tailor char who stands at the tailor macroing for cash, caus this isnt why i got back to UO.
Atleast give us 10k-15k gold per account, that would be enough for a gang of players to buy a house, invest in raising skills such as magery and what not. Dont make this into some shitty WoW-wannabe game where u waste 90% of ur time on getting materials for X, then spend 10% of the time acctualy pvping, caus we all know, this is a pvp game.

If no this, we should had atleast started with 2x65% skills(TRY SUMMONING ENERGY VORTEX @ 50% MAGERY), maybe its to late now, maybe its not, but i know it can be fixed!

I just read more of your post, I guess you dont care Smile

Well its a pain to start from scratch when all u really want to do is start pvping or start to hunt for the big monsters. Instead of having fun i now have to macro a char for a month before i can start playing the game...

I remember back in the days when i started on XUO we got i think GM magery and GM swords to start with and skillgain was alot faster than it is here.

Weight was not an issue there either since a ore weight like 1 stone or something so u could empty awhole cave of ore before u had to go and smelt it.

U could macro Swords/Archery/Fencing/Mace in a day or 2 without even hitting something.

Those were the days.

How good were you at PvP without tactics?

Well if you want those days go find some carebear shard that gives you all GM skills... this isnt XUO nor is it INR... its INX... its a balance between the two... skill gain isnt slow its about right atm... and for combats its pretty damn fast!

Its amazing how little people are willing to work to gain anything... :doubt:

Combats here should take about a day to gm each, with the exception of archery. Now, count that you get tactics for free when you gm 2 combats, skill gain aint that bad (according to me obviously).

Might be the fact that i work 12hours aday so when im home i might want to enjoy something and not have to go to "work" again. And i didnt say i wanted all GM skills i said it was hard to start from scrath Tongue Wich not everyone needed to do.

I´m agree with Puck. There is a completely discompensation between Vets and Newbies. Very hard starting from zero too.

I hope you're not forgetting the people who have everything transferred. It's not our fault we start with nothing, or our accounts are gone. Many people are willing to work, but you do know some people come in with 3000+ skill totals and they're useful skills? That already puts them above par to make more money, craft more things, flood the markets with their goods until the lower end guys find it's not worth it to craft.

I always promote economy and I thought the crafts shouldn't be transferred, or if they were it was limited to 85.

So, if that were to happen, would you quit because you had to start over, in essence? Or would you not be willing to work hard? Riddle me that.

If i started with nothing i would still play... one of the enjoyable things about UO is the building up a character....

You guys are also under the impression that you guys cant make any money... the guys with the GM crafts still need resources and so do the people trying to finish off/train up their crafting skills... pick up a damn pick axe and/or hatchet and gather some stuff to sell to them... make some money get yourselves established and then start working on your own crafting skills.

The combat skills are piss easy... all you need is a few bandages and a cleaver!

If your that desperate come find me in game and ill try and help you without with whatever i can spare....

I fail to see your "big" problem here, okay fine you work 12 hours a day and want to do something fun when you come home, well why dont you spar with a friend when your at work when you come home you got a decent combat skill, then go kill some monsters like 4 people and you should be able to take out some decent monsters ( thats fun ? ) and macro again while you sleep / work.. really not that hard to get skills, true some start with more than others, but isnt it fair that a INner that used like 4years on that char get a few % moved ? it isnt like we get 100% skill transfer Rolleyes
But yeah as it was said above, it aint no carebear shard UO was ment like you had to work alittle to get what you wanted and i truely hope it stays that way..
