I tried deleting a character from the ones I created but no longer desire to maintain but it doesn't let me. Is it restricted somehow?

The only restriction I know of is that you have to wait 7 days from the creation of the character to delete it.

There is a security thing in place to keep people from deleting characters unless a gm sets a flag on them to allow it.
I think this was after someone hijacked someone's account and deleted all their characters. Page and a GM can allow it for you.
