"
No one" may be a exaggerated word. However, I can guarantee, the majority would not appriciate these threads.
That people start making these kinds of threads may be a biproduct of happiness, yes of course, but not allowing them to make these kinds of threads would not prevent them from being happy, nor, make them unhappy, like Lerri makes it sound like.
A
very few appriciates these threads, that's something I hope you can agree with. Even less appriciates them the more there are of them.
Skorpion Wrote:You gotta realize alot of people haven't been checking the forums regularly.
I know that. That is also one of the reason why this rule was made;
Forum Rules Wrote:Please use the search button before making a post, there's a good chance that whatever you are posting has been discussed before.
And to check at least the first page, before making threads, is something that I really expect everyone to do.
Skorpion Wrote:complaining about it won't really stop the posts.
Of course it will! The staff reads the threads, the comments. They will see it. If they agree, they will do something about it. They will see that people are dissatisfied, also who and how many agree. They will be reading arguments from both sides.
Skorpion Wrote:Only thing that will stop them is the server coming up
Of course there are other ways!
If
I was one of the thread maker, or if I was going to make one thread like this one, of course I would take these kinds of posts into consideration, wouldn't you?
By having the forums moderated is by far much better way to stop them. By giving people warnings when braking forum rules, which could lead to a temporary or permanent ban from the forums.
This is how it works on pretty much every decent forums and I really don't know why it wouldn't work here.
