I agree with elcid this time.
People need to be told, one of them is blind. If I'm not all wrong, his latest thread before this was something like this;
"I caaant wait anymore :XXXX
When is the shard coming up :X I caa't waait to plaay"

He must really be a devoted player to the shard tho
But yeah, it ain't coming up any faster just because we get 500 threads saying "I CAN'T WAIT!" :/ The developers are working as fast as they can, and it should be done soon. Be patient and stay tuned :]Regards,

on a more general note why is it bad for people to get excited and giddy that the shard is coming up, let people be happy theres no reason on earth that they shouldnt be allowed to be.

Wow, what you just wrote, was kinda stupid.
Do you think that making stupid/useless/pointless threads is an act, that people do when they are happy? That we prevent people to be happy when we stop them from making these threads? You can be excited, you can be happy! but do NOT drown this forum with these kinds of threads, just because of that!
Would you or anyone appriciate, if I made a thread in what I say something like "Hi, I'm happy and excited that the shard will come up!" and every one else who feels the same would do the same? - I can garantee no one would.
By not letting people make pointless threads is all about how to keep the forums in somewhat high standard, not to prevent them from being happy or excited!

I don't think you can guarantee that, and yes, i think that people starting threads could certainly be a biproduct of giddyness/happiness.
