Personally I've tried the new system as I have hopped on my mortal and actually went out looking for people to kill even though im not much of a fighter these days just to check it out. The system now is way to easy to find someone I've killed a number of people with out any trouble finding them at all. Seriously the longest it took me to find someone was no more then 5 minutes. I am not against the system completely but I believe it needs to be changed around a bit, it is way to easy to find someone. Also I dont like the whole thing of "hidden" on the page. To me if this system is kept I beleive that this could effect future ganking. Im not gonan explain how it would effect it, but trust me it would.

Taran Wrote:I've modified the current system in place so the regions are not as specific, for example if you are in a dungeon it will only display "Dungeon", not the specific dungeon.
I also added a new command that will broadcast certain regions you enter to other people ingame that also have the command enabled.
These changes will take effect this Sunday along with more detailed info on how they work.
I think this will fix most of the issues that you guys are having, if you're still unhappy after sunday then we'll of course discuss it further and try to find even better solutions, but it should help against most things you guys are having issues with. :]
I also agree with Shade about that RPers may have an issue with the "in-game-logics" of that players can see their location from an "website" which isn't something that exists in the world of ultima online. To help this I would support that we change it to a crystal ball showing what the website shows, to make it more realistic for the roleplayers. I don't think the crystalball should be able to see exactly where playes are either tho, I think that it should just do the same thing as the website, for example the person clicking the crystal ball gets all online-players names in a list, and if u click on somebody u'll get a msg like "Tiesto is in a Dungeon", or "Tiesto is in Yew" or something similar to that :]

14 dungeons to find which one exactly the person is, would be a waste of time because of
1. with a playerbase so low it means the probability of recalling to more dungeons is greater
2. i'd run out of mana before finding the person to be honest
3. the person could be done before i even find them
having it say dungeon is like saying "o here's ur pvp stuff since it's a pvp/rp shard, but it doesn't really have a good purpose". it's like killing a really hard monster for 1 gp.
maybe if ppl were FORCED to learn how to heal/recall/attack back then MAYBE the pvp would grow here. I have a feeling tho ppl just don't want it to grow tbh, it's nerfing the system.
pvm's so stubborn they don't want to learn how to heal/recall/attack back.
u guys want macros? jeez

I've been logging in an unprotected area (close to one though) for literally 5 days now on and off, no one has even wasted a breath on me though they can see my location.
And if they did.. id loose some logs. Seeing as AFK macroing for resources is a illegal, ill just wait 10 minutes, res and go back to work lol.
I'm from IN1 when it started, the risk is what made the game fun.
Possibly the webstatus wasn't needed back then because the population was like 200 people online all the time and it was hard to hide.
But now.. well for the moment its nice to be able to find people, and its not coordinates as they said. I really believe ppl should only provide feedback like a week or two after something is implemented, not an hour after.
You can always write the feedback down and if you still believe it, post it after you give a chance.

I like this idea, keeps it in game. But the webstatus isn't that big a deal.

Adding a crystal ball in-game would make it even easier because people don't have to have their browser open and refresh the status page.
I'm not complaining, I just think it's funny that the "it's not rp" tactic led to something that's technically worse from an RP view.
