I have spoken with the head admin today. He has sent the tracerts to the network administrator. But he said that there was nothing strange about it and would need more information.

Now I have told the head admin that it is very strange that you all get a ping of +150 at XS4ALL.so-7-0-0.nar1.AMS1.gblx.net and have pings of ~150 to other hosts in the netherlands and that other games are having the same issues. Also I have asked him to look into the possibility in a better machine for the server.

He will ask what extra information is needed, and I will take care of that ASAP. Because none want to ruin the hard work that maka and taran and all other developers have put in INX.

I hope to have more and good information soon!

Your issue is either related to your own connection (such as torrent or spy ware), or due to the server hardware lagg. The server hardware lagg does not happen very often, and it should not disrupt anything (besides PvP at times).

We use a dutch ISP named : Chello
We have as they call the : Extreme package connection (20mb) So I dont think that my connection to the XS4all server should be a problem, tonight i will run some tracerts/pings

Next to that we (Makaveli aka Scarface and Me) use computers that runs without spyware and no torrent tools, but sometimes I recognize a little spike while running on the server.

Now i've read that Razor could also cause "lag" to the game. I am used to UOassist from IN1 though...any suggestions on Razor?

If it is small spikes (as in max ~1-2) then chances are that it's the server. We are running in debug mode quite a lot and the hardware could be better.

We are trying to look into the hardware situation though, might be improvements on that front.

Well, you can check your connection (ping inx.xs4all.nl) and (-ping ingame)

But from what I understand (sometimes a lagspike) that ain't the problem. However, I've looked into the hardware. And the RAM could be a bit faster. I will look if there is an other server available, or if it is possible to get a new machine. But this can take a while.
