Aww as said, i started all over, and it dosent bother me, ive gone up alot in skills.. sure it takes time. But then again if i wanted instant skills i would have found a server who gave me that.
And a month to train a skill to max isent alot, even if your only online for 2-3 hours a day.
This is takeing from the rules: *Macroing AFK to train skills is allowed*. So you can just train at night or whatever

As i have all skills with the importcharacter,im conform with the skill gain.
Thanks people
Heres another example.
You start welding your first day ever. Do you think you are a grandmaster welder within 3-4 days? or even months, or perhaps years? Hah please.
Go outside and try mining in your backyard for a while, see if you grandmaster that. Or build your own forge and start crafting. Or tinker. Hell, start sewing your own clothes together. See how many times you mess up. Look at this logically. It takes time to master anything in the world, and even in all video games. You should be happy that you have an opportunity. All you want is food stamps and welfare without even trying to look for a job. Wow. Never have I ever seen such idiocy.

I agree with this in at some extent but remember not everyone here is RPing and those who RP ( like myself) not necessarily want to have a second life or job...

True. Macroing is a great resource, and it is frustrating to only macro. I've been macroing spirit speak, detect hidden, hide, stealth, anatomy, and evaluate intelligence for 3 days straight now. And I'm nearly 20% away on all of them from GM. But those skills are meant to be macroed. There really isn't any rp involved with studying anatomy. Mining, blacksmith, tailoring, etc. Those are rping skills. You don't just mine or craft and not socialize with others doing the same thing. Unless you are socially inept. But to macro those money making skills is somewhat odd. It defeats the purpose of playing. If you aren't going to experience your virtual life, then why even log on? PVP is not the only aspect of the game. Sure killing others can be fullfilling at most, but gaining reputation, fame, wealth, bonds between fellow players is the true ultimate glory of any game, or life experience.

Well now, First off if restarting the server was supposed to "start fresh" then it should have been a clean wipe for EVERYONE. WHAT is the point in working VERY HARD and VERY long for when someone already has achieved TOP in that skill? At Best, I would have given all "vet" players a Bonus, by transferring characters with a 25% hit in skill points. Thus allowing each player to instead of having 100 Black smithy, he/she would have 75.0. That would allow those select few to be ahead still, but must still work for it.
I also agree with many, that we need to keep skill gains at a lower rate, 1 month is too long, but 3 days is too short. This, once again allows for everyone whoââ¬â¢s new to gain skills without wasting 6 months, as the server fails economically (in most cases) and they never get to enjoy the game play.
