I agree that recall scrolls are really too quick and ruin pvp as is. I think those should be same speed as regular recall.
Invis scroll is fine, if you dont suck you will just stumble on the person and light scroll his ass to death.

Were recall scrolls disabled on XUO?

I don't think recall scrolls were disabled however the cast timing was longer i believe.
Also I think the cast time for invis scroll were longer too, not sure.
I seem to remember scarecrow telling me recall scroll cast time was like 1.1 seconds and that's why he hated when people used them, because they were fast.

They might have been disabled at some XUO version, but I think we "solved the problem" by making it cost so much mana at the latest version of XUO that people didn't really want to use them. However people did not realize back then either how good they were combined with invis scrolls, here people figured that out, and that's the problem
As long as nobody knows how good something is they can't abuse it

Not to many people was going to know how good they was combined if people dindt come on forums to spread the world.
I for example always tought using normal spells was not bad, and never walked with those two scrols or had a macro for them.... But seens its worth the effort!
Thats why I say guys, beware before spreading something on forums....

Hehe, yeah I know, now everybody knows about them, before only a like 2-3 ppl who used them, but oh well, it's too late to do something about that now
I wouldn't say they're "that great" tho, if u dunno how to use em then they can get u killed pretty fast too, but they sure are fast.

I never use recall scrolls myself and still I have managed to get away from 99.9% of ganks with just invis spell followed by a recall, but lets not make it too easy for you to be ganked. I agree it is very easy to avoid a small gank with this method, but just a thought if you made invisibility interruptible then there is no chance to avoid a larger ganking squad, other than LOS'ing for 2-3 seconds which is nearly impossible against a large gank.

Making invis-spell fizzle when hit by a spell is nothing we have any plans on adding, so don't worry about that. However making invis-scroll fizzle when hit by a spell is nothing I would be all too much against, it's still faster than the normal spell, and hidden by a good spam it's still fairly easy to manage to pull it off. But that's one way to balance it a bit at least. Two other ways is to disable invis scrolls or to make the time it takes to cast it a lil longer. Feel free to come with other suggestions if you all have some.

It was disabled on one of the XUO versions, I remember that pretty well... You cannot have a way of 100% survival... its kinda lame and wayy too easy...
if youre out hunting or exploring, you have to face the risk of dying... you cant have something that allows you to get away extremely easy... otherwise it kills the mood for the pkers, and makes it way to easy as a pvmer to do what you guys do...
disabling the recall scroll will be the solution in my book, and allowing invisible scrolls... atleast we can detect and have a chance to kill the person, otherwise the time it takes to detect someone, the person already hid and recalled...
common people you want some challenge when youre on, dont you? otherwise whats the fun when you have the ability to survive 99.9% of the time...
yeyeye!

I checked the scripts on the latest XUO and recall scroll was enabled but it took more mana and was slower. I will change it here to how it was on XUO.
