Discussion about region on webstatus

smoke Wrote:imo add codes for dungeions instead of just saying dungeion, because the time we take to recall get mana and are actually even able to kill the person with having mana left from recalling is like a 10% chance..

codes for dungeion as an example: _ _ s _ t _ r _ = destard

And why you have to reach people with full mana, since the guy who is hunting probably donst is at full mana?

It make things more fair.

You reach someone with 50 mana and that guy probably is at it too.

so we should have a 10% that u kill a monster when u hunt then if you want things to be fair.

cuz we're using mana and we only have about 10% chance of finding someone before they leave

seriously ask any pvper the way it's setup right now is useless

Why do you have to kill hunters though? Just enable the command and go kill another PvPer instead :p

Taran Wrote:Sure, that would work if this was a pure PvP shard.
But it's not, which is why we need to think of the non-pvpers as well. Having PvPers know exactly where you are when you hunt if you are not a PvPer sucks, which is why the specific information about the regions were removed on the statuspage.

why not think about the pvpers who actually dont have things to do on this shard since everyone just about macro's 24/7. like seriously even me and tech started macroing taming, a skill which like any pvper tells u they rarley ever macro cuz they make their money dueling/killing ppl

if it's a rp/pvp shard then ppl should learn how to heal. It's not a pure pvp shard fine but that's like going on saying pvpers should get items for free cuz we only pvp where its like saying pvmers can't heal out cuz they pvmers. It should be were both type of players DO BOTH things and not just one. Hell if it's not a rp/pvp shard and just rp with a lil pvp then say so becuz i find (besides events, which r for every1) pvpers don't have anything to look forward to playing on this shard.

Honestly I know i'm not the only one who shares this view. and if we go by majority there aren't many pvpers here to start with (i wonder why) so to base a decision off the majority is like bad

I kno i'm saying a lot here and I don't mean to disrespect but rather to try to make the shard playable for both types of ppl

Why can't we kill hunters? Why must it be SO much harder to kill them? And we do kill other pvpers, just there's like what 8 pvpers max on this shard

well even with 100 mana and you dump somone and if you go to 0 mana the other person will still have more mana then you because its so easy to heal out of a dump.. thats why its almost impossible to kill someone once recalling over and over after each dungeion

You're one of the best at pvp here so obviously it's easy for you. But for those who never or very rarely try the pvp they can't do it as easily. Not to mention that some people are just bad at pvp, like me Big Grin there are so many times I die with 60+ mana in a tour because I mess up my heals...

Taran, here's a suggestion for the .sam command that I think might help it out a bit but not 'overpower' it. Why not set it so that by default a message shows up saying when EVERYONE enters a town or pits, and only those who want when they go elsewhere.

Example #1: If both people have the command disabled, they would see each other entering towns/pits but not dungeons.

Example #2: If both people have the command enabled they see every region each other goes.

Example #3: If 1 person has the command off and 2 people have the command on, everyone would see everyone entering only towns/pits but not dungeons, and only the 2 people with the command on would see each other entering dungeons.

I think this is pretty good because it's not very often that a hunter goes to a red town so they aren't in more danger when a PK sees them go to a town. And for those in guilds they have that small extra risk that comes with being in a guild; the fact that you can be attacked anywhere.

What do you think?

lmao just turn this shard into a pve shard and end this 2 year discussion

im for it.

yeyeye!

i didn't bother to read the whole text but i read the first paragraph how is it fair because i know how to heal the whole shard system needs to be changed? learn how to defend your self in the damn wilderness it's a pvp/pvm/rp shard that's not my problem it's yours

Maybe you should read it for a change... you might read something that will make your current reply look as retarded to you as it does to me and probably most other people...

And as for the part you did read, read it again because I never said to nerf anything or change the way the whole shard works... I said you're one of the best at pvp so obviously it will be easy for you to heal out of a dump but it's not as easy for someone else who isn't used to doing it. It's all relative and some people just need a chance to learn how and maybe they won't mind as much...

i think there are pvp guides on the website to help ppl, also they could just ASK someone like gang or tech.

here's the simple method: Press Greater Heal Spell when u see a pvper attack your (even if it's spam, its better safe than sorry), IF he does fs you press Greater Heal Spell INSTANTLY so their next fs won't kill u, u can do two things here: 1) Greater Heal Pot & recall or 2) Mana pot and repeat pressing Greater Heal Spell as if the pvper keep dumping you he will run out of mana most likely and will run away if u try to attack him.

if it's a good pvper like tech or gang trying to pk you ALWAYS PRESS Greater Heal Spell, run out of the line of sight and then after the ~3secs it takes press your recall macro to safety while doing this continue to run to get out of the line of sight of the pvper, wait 2-5 mins and continue hunting (most pvper's dont have a lot of patience to wait around for ppl to come back lol)

the fact is ppl don't want to learn which is what is hurting the pvp activity on this shard

How the hell do you laugh "not IRL"?

God your humor is dry btw...

Luda the choices are so simple for you because you're so used to it. For someone who doesn't pvp very much or at all, when they're forced to do a perfect series of heals all of a sudden it's not so easy for them. They will mess up their timing, they probably can't pot because they just did a mana pot since they're hunting after all. And don't forget it's not very often you're hunting with 50+ mana... And some people will probably try to do a gheal scroll and if they fizzle it when doing another gheal after thats almost 50 mana gone for 1 heal!

I don't understand how you guys think everyone can pvp perfectly the first time they need to defend themselves.

It's like riding a bike or learning how to skate... you won't do it perfectly the first time and you will probably fall off or fall flat on your face.

And don't tell me smoke or gang will take 2 hours to teach someone because I've never seen this happen, from any of the pvpers actually! Well maybe the only exception would be during the pvp school hate hosted once or twice...
