GMT = Greenwich Mean Time, it's the stand time all other time zones are based off of. If you double click your tray where the time is displayed you'll get the options for date and time. Click on the timezone tab and for example it'll say something like (GMT -5). So 7-5=2, it would be 2:00pm for you. That is the Eastern Time Zone. Australia is on the other side of Greenwich (a place in Europe) so it will be GMT+X amount of hours.
