As long as they are standardised (i.e. all the same for every player after same period of time) I wouldn't mind giving out:
- Rare mount only available via vet reward scheme (e.g. sapphire hued llama, or so on, can be more than one, but it would only be a normal mount, not ethy, no special stats, not bonded etc.)
- Does anyone remember the tunics with 4 quarters to them? I forget the name, they're in the game somewhere, may have been called fancy vest, something like that. Can't current be found anywhere, could add them as a vet reward.
- Other non-functional or at least non-mechanically functional, and non-trade-able in all cases, gizmos (the more interesting ones would take longer) such as:
* Animal dye (one use only)
* Name change deed
* Fame cap increase (such that you may die once and still remain Lord)
* Spell animation hue dye (either temporary and/or one use only)
* Some special deco items (e.g. some of the non-craftable alchemist bottles, brains/entrails, skeleton chained to wall, etc.)
* Pet zombie
* Boat dye
* Newbied named/dyed weapon (with damage set to 1 and non-poisonable, i.e. decorative only) - Would have to make sure this one can't be abused for training purposes either.

That's more than enough ideas, and some are probably not that appropriate because it's late and I'm tired and going to bed rather than thinking things through any further.

Uhm, free mounts, gold, ingots, and more death shrouds is a terrible idea.
I'm already sick of seeing shrouds...

However, I do like silver... but it would have to be a certain amount per veteran point.. (in other words, LIMITED.)

Animal Dye - Bad Idea. There are enough colored mounts all over the place, we don't need more. (especially if you there was a way to get multiple animal dyes.. thats still two or more single use).

Name change deed - Sure why not? Maybe the 1337 h4x3rs would finally change their names to something decent.
Fame Cap Increase - This is actually a GREAT idea. Although it would have to be an extra death tops, otherwise everyone would be a lord, but still broke.
Spell Animation Hue Dye - I like this. This wouldn't cause any harm.
Special Deco - Good idea.
Pet Zombie - Making me blush.
Boat dye - Awesome idea, in every way.
Newbied named/dyed weapon - iffy... you can already get this by gming all combat skills..
