This sounds like a great solution to a recurring problem with less negative effect.

Also another good thing that could be incorporated into the idea.
Azzo Wrote:EDIT: The only problem is that sometimes the gump takes up to 3 hours to appear. So you could conceivably just leave your macro running for an hour knowing you won't get killed when the gump eventually pops up. Come back, unstone yourself, and leave it running an hour or so again. You can kind of do that now, but the risk is death and looting/decaying. Maybe clear the backpack of ore/ingots if stoned for longer than 15 minutes /shrug.
This is also something that I see as a little issue, sometimes I've mined for several hours with no gump (I remember mining for half a day on more than a few occasions with no gump). Which means if someone is AFK mining they could go several hours and gain a lot of ingots before encountering being frozen and/or killed if the above suggestion is implemented. As annoying as the gump is, maybe make it more frequent. I'm not exactly sure how it works but is there a way to insure it doesn't go longer than a couple of hours without at least having a gump? Yes it'll be more annoying but it'll reduce the amount of ingots gathered while afk if someone still tries it if the stoning/kill system is added.
