Order can certainly hunt down and kill murderers, and defend themselves when they're attacked, but they don't attack the innocent until they have proof that the person themselves are up to no good. If you are a PKing order guild you might as well just be a separate chaos faction.
There's no benefit from being good though, is there? No incentive. No religious beliefs, no rich kings backing you up, no families to defend, and hell you get more loot by liek pking teh newbs LOL11!!!11 so why be blue when it means most likely you have to sit and wait to be attacked, especially on this server when the odds are already HUGELY stacked against you and most likely the chaos guilds will rally against you since they would now have a common enemy instead of the constant hilarious infighting they do now? Most of the players on this server are chaos minded, in that they don't want to have to deal with so many rules they just want to fight whenever they want. And that's not intended as an insult, hell, I just play this game for the hijinks of stealing as much as I can so I'm really no different, that's just how it is.
The incentive to being Chaos/pk is to take what you want, when you want it. There's no similar benefit to being order/blue, except sitting in town. It's just like in most movies, the good guys are boring and the bad guys are the bad asses. No one wants to play a boring character.
This is a great point. I have personally always liked order better (just my personal preference I guess), and as soon as I am ready I will join order even if chaos offers more benefits. The fact that 90% of the world is chaos will certainly make it more challenging, but also more fun I hope (perhaps I will change my mind once I start getting PKd at every corner lol). I am also hopeful that more people will join order and the game will be more fun once there is a better balance between the two forces. I do think that perhaps there should be an incentive for being order and not chaos. Perhaps we should give to order guilds the possibility to pledge to protect a given area, and the members of the guild would get paid a daily or weekly wage for their services. I am not talking about a huge sum, just an incentive that could also be flexible and adjusted periodically depending on the demand and offer of protection.
