There are even PvPers (myself included) whom have times where I would rather PvM with my guild or visit the casino. Invis pots make it possible for me to still enjoy these experiences AND get away if a group of PKs come and crash the party.
Also keep in mind that invis pots cost a great deal and CAN be countered with reveal and detecting hidden. It is in no way a 100% get away.
If you think about it 2k per potion isn't that much if it saves your life 100% of the time, you can even .vote every 12 hours to pay for half a potion
