There's a lot going on here, a few people pulling in different directions, but who agrees with the following summary:
1) You want to be able to do more damage, faster (presumably to make 1 vs 1 more dangerous and faster paced?)
2) To keep things dynamic a small reduction in mana cost (or something similar) for GH scroll. In otherwords total damage in/out could be similar by the rate at which it can happen would be faster?
3) Lightning is not as useful as it should be.
4) I think Gang suggested it would be good if other spells were also useful.
I would also suggest that fixing PvP also requires some sort of change to the weapons (more reliable, less need for +tactics in general PvP).
Sorry if this seems like a useless post, but I think it is good to try and nail down the things that people actually agree on. I certainly agree with the above stuff, I think in general PvP is better if pace (need for reactions) is increased, staying alive requires timing rather than a generic get-out-jail with a GH scroll, and the complexity or variety is increased (start by getting weapons and a few more spells used).
On a side note I'm also personally in favour of phasing down the importance of scrolls and instead using disused spells to take their function, e.g. FS scroll hits for 38 on 20mana, if the damage was increased and mana cost also increased, a spell like mindblast could be tweaked to take the place of the old scroll should it still serve a purpose. I think scrolls should be used but I don't like how a person without scrolls is totally ineffective...
