Rob had said something in one of our developer forums concerning communication. As a side note he mentioned communication with MSN or Google Talk or something like that. Basically, that screenshot is showing a RunUO server connected to Google Talk. Most of the blurred out words are my personal contacts from gmail.com that the server pulled from talk.google.com.

In short: I could write a gump where you type in a message and it gets sent to someone using Google Talk. ...OR a script could be written to read an incoming message and direct it to the correct player via a gump.

Just showing off. IN:X won't have this, hehe.

Any such futures are good though, and even tho it isn't really "sphere-ish" it would still not be a bad thing. It's like adding IRC-servers connected to the "CHAT-function" on IN:X, it's not like it'll ruin the sphere feeling, just add some good stuff that just helps ppl to get their ass to IRC

Anyways if we decide not to add it then it's all good with me, but I'm just saying that I don't really find it such a bad idea to add, however I doubt a lot of players @ IN:X will be using "Google Talk", I've personally never heard of it ;p
