Atm it seems like theres way too much spellcasting compared to what I remember om IN1..

I seem to recall lots of spell casting in IN1, but you are right. I remember vampires attacking with black widows and hells halbreds all over the place etc. I seem to recall using melee weapons to weaken then paralyze flame strike etc.
