Idk I don't like the idea of players getting in the casino with no chance of getting killed at the door. And I still see no point in having a gate that takes you to a town when rune books can do the same

Good point. What might be better is to build a little thingy in the Festival Grounds. That way they aren't going into a safe zone. Since most magic is disabled in that area, they won't be insta-ganked by people who want to camp out where you show up at.

Hmm, though I suppose a few people with Halberds could surround the place where you recall in, then everyone starts hitting at once. Maybe recall into a small booth, then it kicks you out to a random location within 10 tiles after a few seconds.
