IMO the privately owned houses is much safer to keep your items at. In the guild you can still be stabbed especially in big guilds that get everyone in. But even in these guilds you still can just buy a small house a put guildchest there. Then there would be like ten people on whole server that would have a chance to loot you if they'd somehow got inside;p Let alone one-man-guilds or guilds that take only people who prooven themselves as trustworthy...

p.s. Not sure if we can put guildchests in private hosues tho, I remember we could do that on inx. Anyhow, I never kept my items in house. Either in bank or on vendor, when tehre was access to the mall from pits that is ;p
