There is no need for armor in gank right now , as the people aren't using weapons there. When people get in groups they usaully stop using weapons and start casting the spells instead. The armor, as it's now is needed in 1vs1. If you say it's not then I'm not sure how good you or your opponent is. Don't take armor\weap or take iron+bard of nothing and I'll take ~SDK+Vanq hally+Saph arm. I'll melee you dude. I'm talking of tour\duel stones now ofc, as it's hard to reach someone with a halberd or melee weapon out in wilderness when theres a way to get outta para tho.

I once had a suggestion to make armor more useful in gank as well. I think Taran might have thought it would be too drastic or just had no time to script it yet, as the guy was really busy lately... But you can read what I suggested to fix the issue you're talking of without changing the 0.51a PvP playstyle.

While Maka\Taran\Rest of IN\XUO staff were building INX i've played russian server, Dragon World. as I live in Moscow, the ping to that shard is perfect at my place. I didn't like the system you talk of, yet I didn't go and tell the people that PvP they loved sucked and wasn't telling them to change just because I was used to something else. Learn how to play here , if you aren't willing to do so , don't try to have everything your own way. Feel free to leave instead.
