Eh? It shouldn't half it. I think one bolt = 50 cloth, then that makes 50 bandages. There's no material loss when you cut it up. Also, if you go to a cotton field or sheep field (West Britain or Yew), you can harvest all the materials to craft up a bunch of bandages.
