Tips:
- GM Resisting Spells for magic monsters. They have huge burst damage, but run out of mana pretty quickly.
- For monsters that have lots of mana, find a way to trap them in a poison field. They'll constantly cast cure on themselves instead of damage spells.
- An alternative to poison field is a summoned serpent told to attack.
- GM Provocation and Peacemaking, use them to make monsters fight each other and stop attacking you.
- Earthquake is a good way to farm lots of monsters at once if you can get large groups together.
- Practice in easier areas until you get the hang of it. The area outside of the Mercenary Camp was intended to be an after-newbie-dungeon area for people to get the hang of fighting tougher monsters.
- Physical attacking monsters can be trapped between two walls of Stone in an X formation and bowed down. You can do this with magic monsters too, but they can still cast. See the poison trick.
- Paralyze Field can be used to control large groups of monsters, and if you stand at the end of a field and shoot something inside, it will get stuck again when it walks toward you.
- Two people at opposite ends of a paralyze field can take turns hiding to make the monster switch directions.
