Nope, can't secure chests like you can on normal UO, but you can do other stuff to keep it secure.
You can lock it with a key, but a player-made lock can be picked. The higher the carpentry/tinkering skill of the player, the harder it is to pick.
You can also buy guild-boxes for 50K that can only be opened by guild members.
You can buy bank boxes for your house for 300K.
Double-Doors and blocked entryways are good for keeping out house looters also.
