From the RP perspective you are right Shade, it doesn't make sense to have to go outside of UO to check other people's locations. I have no problems changing this to a system where you have to buy a magic crystal ball that lets you find people for x amount of hours depending on the price of course. Cost must = reward, right? I mean something crazy like 100k isn't worth being able to see people for 30 minutes or 1 hour. I think you guys will find the right balance if this is what it comes down to though. But first I'd like to see the changes Taran made; status page saying 'dungeon' instead of 'ice dungeon' for example, and the ingame command with the option to turn it it on/off for those who want to.
