This is (as far as I can remember) the size we've pretty much always used in these duel stone areas (at XUO, NG, CF, etc etc). The reason we in the first place those this size is because it does not let you "run away" so much during the duel, which some people tend to do when they go low on mana in "duel pits-arenas", which causes the duels to last way longer than they have to. Another reason is that we could compress a lot of arenas in not that much of a space, allowing players to observe several duels at once, and also easily join in if they see somebody enter an arena. If the arenas would be too far away from each other then players would have to be like "come with me to the 10k arena 5 miles away and we'll duel, yes?" ;p at least now when the duel stone arena isn't "that" active.
I've also heard people complain about lag whenever there is items around, no matter if it is static or not. I think the statics may cause "computer-lag" when it comes to very old computers, cause the graphic card still has to process all the "decoration" in it, but I do not believe that it would cause any internet-lag because of that it is always there, it is static, it does not have to be updated 24/7 like most other stuff.
Anyways, I don't mind the idea of one more duel stone area tho, one with bigger arenas but not as many, and with more grass and less decorations. Perhaps it would be better that way. Either way the players are always right and if you aren't happy with the way the duel stone arena is now, then we will of course do our best to change it around to fill your needs. I do however believe that some people may like the one we have now, there for I would rather create a second rather than replace thisone completely. If the players then would feel that the new one is soo much better, then we might as well remove the first one, but I'd at least give them a chance to choose for a while :]
