The current area is static, minus the fences and the duel stones, meaning the platforms, floors, seating, etc are no strain to your computer nor do they cause lag or item count. If a few fences lag you, I don't know how you guys handle pvp events lol. In any case the fences can be made static when we update our files. The old duel area had non-static walls as well so it won't make any real difference.
If you are lagging while casting I think the lag is pretty much your end (or the entire shard is lagging at that moment), however if you are trying to move and jumping around it could be because of something like rubber banding that happens more frequently do to the small area.
