Took about a week to 12x gm for me, but I'm still not GM resist or tactics or any weapon skill. Skillgain here is slow though, when compared to a lot of other shards. Personally I like that, it makes being a gm actually mean something. I think the reason it seems harder to get skills here is because of a lack of bugs. On the old sphere shards it was like, you could gm every weapon skill and tactics the first day just by attacking an npc, running 3 screens away and looping attacklast 100ms delay. Or gm magery by tabbing out of every cast so no mana was used.
I'm definitely not excited about doing tradeskills though, from a brief sampling of smithing I did, I just think it kinda crosses the border of just being too much. But it makes the people who gm it very valuble in the community, so you cant really deny the slow gains serves its purpose
