I can't pick a favorite thing from UO.
I don't recall when I first started playing UO. I read about it in Guinness World Records in my school library. I just knew I had to play the game. I remember sitting on the tailgate of my dad's pickup and telling my neighbor friend about what I read. I took what money I had and bummed the rest off my parents to get UO. I couldn't wait to install the game. I remember hearing that intro music for the first time. It was so awesome...
I have only a few fond memories from OSI.
I enjoyed hunting efreets in T2A. I was always hunting for daemon bone armor with my tamer. I remember the day I got a helm. I sold that helm for 300k at the bank.
I also remember creating a sandal collection and selling that for a good chunk of change.
On Catskills I was in the guild IKY. The guildmaster had a tower at the portal in Buc's Den. I don't know how many nights were spent there hiding at the doors waiting for someone to run in and become grey.
I spent a fair amount of time hunting earth elementals. That's where I got most of my money. It was torture being on 56k and being disconnected. You finally get back online and then login and find out you died.
I bounced around a few times before I found IN1. I joined a shard and there was a bug with the vendors and you could just run a macro and constantly get gold. I marked a rune at the Britain bridge and then cast stone wall over it and recalled in. They had a rare bow on that shard and I could sit up there for hours shooting at people.
On IN1 my two favorite things were llama bombing and mining. I spent a great majority of my time mining for rares. I don't know how many sinners I killed with a llama bomb. So much sapphire armor and GM given rares. Good times...
On UOG: Hybrid was in the guild Naked Archers of Doom [NAD]. Basically we'd all get on teamspeak, then get on our archers, then camp hidden at hot spots waiting for victims. It was pretty much instant death. That was so much fun.
