I think we are at the point where the shard will die if something is not done, also to the point where players are getting really upset with the current situation. So I would simply request to know what is really going on right now, and what we are going to do about it. A plan needs to be formulated to save what we have right now.

We need real answers from staff. If you are tired of running the shard, why would you just prolong it?
