the idea is a good one, but needs a bit of work.
suggestion: you go to the res healer, he brings you to life, and you aren't charged YET. you are only charged if you make it back to your body and open it.
this way if you die before you get there due to all the monsters between the res healer and your body, then you dont lose your money.
an alternative is to simply bring back pits runes outside dungeos for dead and alive players. what's being suggested in minax's alternative idea post isnt that from from pits runes.
let me exlpain: if a healer brings you back to life with full health, some pots and aids, you get a chance to wait a few minutes before going back to your body and heal up. you also get a chacne to get back to your body and get your items.
with pits runes, you have to get all the way back to the entrance of the dungeon (which can be pretty far for some dungeons) while getting attacked by monsters. if you make it out, you end up in pits and heal up. then head back out.
i think pits runes outside dungeons should be given a chance. as it was with pits on a whole, many people were 'scarred' of it and thought it was this crazy idea that would totally kill any feel to a shard as you're used to it. but now that people gave it a chance, some people love it now, and some tolerate it. maybe pits runes outside dungeons wont be as bad as what people who were orignally totally against pits thought.
