Fixing PVP before it's just you, me, and Dupree
#6

Kyo Wrote:people dont even need to wear armor in pvp. please make it so they have to like INr

Armors are useful for 1vs1/2vs2 duels. It may even be useful in ganking, but just not as much since most people use pure magic there (if they gank in big squads).

My suggestion in order to fix this is to make it so that the passive meditation of your mana is a little bit slower if you are naked. That would force players to wear armor even while ganking, where they do not normally "need" it, in order to get the passive meditation that is very useful while ganking.

Does that suggestion work out for you? That is one way to balance it so that players will wear armor, without changing anything in drastic ways like some people have suggested. Reducing spell damage while wearing armor would mess up the PvP, my suggestion however will not, so take it to heart and think about it. Would my suggestion fix your problem?

Rabbi Samhild Wrote:How about... When Maka, Taran, and all the other scripters return from the holidays, they can work with as many players as they can find on a test shard that deals exclusively with pvp issues that will be implemented on IN:X when it's worked to the point where the most players feel it's balanced? Just get a tourney style environment with .set combats 1000 and unlim pots, regs, scrolls and just go at it until it's worked out? Anyone have a better idea?
As Taran mentioned we could open a closed server like that in the future, and let handpicked people PvP in order to make it even more balanced and better, in minor ways, without messing up or changing the PvP in too drastic ways, but still balancing it even further to make you players even more happy. Does that sound like a good solution to you?
