Pickaxes were added after people mentioned it enough, if this is mentioned enough it my be added as well. So then people will find another item they want newbied and so on. Like I said, a line has to be drawn somewhere.
I really think that newbied items should require some story as to why your character has such a thing. Explain how you obtained it and why it is magically bound to your character. You can actually do this either way and request the item for a rp reward.
Of course after thinking about it... it sure does make retrieving your body a hell of a lot easier if you were to die while hunting. This would allow you to immediately provoke everything along the way... so it would remove a bit of the difficulty.
Never thought about the retrieveing body thing. That would really Help alot. As for people asking for more and more things. Yea, your right, But theres 2 issues within that sense. First, How does everyone else feel about it, in the sense that, Things will always be "added" or "changed". Its how the people feel about these addiditions and changes that matter. if eveyone is for it, Huzzah!, if alot of people say it will change their style of gameplay, then there needs to be a serious reason for why its being changed/added. and #2, When it comes to somthing like this.. (like pickaxes) some people already have all these skills GMEd. which means... They could set everyones skill who's 100 back to 99.9 so theres less stress of going around handing out items like mining).. or .. they'd have to go hand out items to everyone who's already gmed the skill. #2 isn't as important as #1.. but its somthing to consider. Because later on, if someone brings up another "reward".. how many people are we looking at who've already gmed that skill.
