wtf is all this whining about!? all you newbs complaining about skillgain, u got some really really really crappy macros.. no skill takes more than _at most_ one week to gm with a good macro.. i've seen people macroing magery in brit by doing 1 magic arrow, healing, meditating and starting over.. __wtf!?!?!?__ stop whining and use the time macroing better ffs

First off, very well thought out argument.:badgrin:Are you really thinking about this argument or defending it because you actually spent a week to GM a skill?

Personally, this is my take, spending a week to macro a skill and the time required to gather materials to be able to macro for a week (multiplied by 7 for a decent set of skills) Is an absolutely ridiculous amount of time to BE AFK MACROING What is accomplished by making people, some of which have other pursuits apart from UO, spend a month or two away from their computer macroing so they can be active in the community of the shard?

If i wanted to do work, i would stay at work. If this is a PvP shard then i would figure more people would be willing to increase PvP skills gain so there will be a more active group beating the hell out of each other.

Crafting i agree should take time. It is still not great because i will never be able to invest the time into it that you seem to need. Although this limits it to people who can spend ungodly amount of hours and effort, i say go for it! Your chore not mine. I love crafting. But it seems, since i have other things to do in my life i am unable/not allowed.

This shard has the potential to be the top server. As it is, the shard is very limiting to people who can stay afk 24/7 and the powergamers. It doesn't seem like a good use of my "fun" time to spend all those hours for minimal gains and yearning to be able to go out there and massacre some people. It is very restricting and a big part of why i think the shard isn't attracting as many people as it deserves.

As stated by others, the economy would not be hurt in the slightest. In fact, it would be a huge boost to the economy and cause competition. Which is why i think those already with the reigns of crafter control are against it.

I can't be bothered to argue more, i doubt it will change. Have fun macroing, wishing you could play soon (but damn got 4 more things to GM, see you next month)...
