For the Mystical Sextant Quest you have to search around Trinsic to find Finlor. Also, you can track npc's too.
Thief guildmasters, tinkerers and beggars teach the skills mentioned above.
You can get to every point in the solen hives from a single entrance. There are four entrances in total but none of them have exclusive access to a certain spot. Just watch the map carefully and remember each route you take and try another if that one doesn't take you where you wish to go.
The beastmen weapons are for a quest in the merc camp.
