I agree 100% about the lack of weapon diversity.
With Fencing, the Warfork is by far the strongest weapon. It is as it should be, since while it is stronger than most swords, it is actualy slightly slower than them (which is still fine, there is always the kryss if you want to be fast).
The short spear is the next best thing, but actually isn't much stronger than the warfork (despite being two-handed). Its speed is about between the warfork and kryss, but its strength doesn't seem right (not like going from almost any sword to almost any axe). Lastly, the regular spear is almost useless. It isnt any stronger than the short spear from the small amount of testing I did (I was quickly discouraged by the disappointing effectiveness), but it is significantly slower.
Then, at the same time, a halberd of ruin can do 60+ damage in one hit on somebody wearing full Shadow WITH a Shadow heater (what, like 55-60AR?)... Does a Vanq Hally give 1-hit kills? Heh.
Not complaining, as I can always adapt (and planned on it), just adding my findings to the thread if the Staff decides to follow up on it.
