The mana potions in those kind of events differ in itemid to the ones available to you through alchemy. When I posted the topic that is, not too sure whether it has been fixed yet ;D

Improved Heal/Mage/Resis/Eval/Medit
Train Resis/Heal/Mage/Medi/Eval by using Magic Arrow and Bandages.
Train Magery/Eval/Meditation by using Clumsy.
Train Healing by using Bandages.
