Having read a few more posts, and scanned through the rest, I can say that I have no problem sitting in a group and healing, reflecting others and myself.
I know what ganking is, so you don't have to explain why people do the things they do for it. My question is, is that ALL people are going to do outside of tournaments? I heard all this talk of "hardcore" PvPers, but it really sounds like everyone just runs around in large groups ganking one person at a time. That has always been the newb way to fight, on IN at least. Will anyone ever fight 2 v 2 or 1 v 1 using armor and weapons, without running through 30 scrolls first? Id name larger numbers, but it seems that with any larger than 2 v 2 it will be nothing but ganking.
And now it sounds like more people want to make it EASIER to gank...
BTW, its not so much the PvP system Im talking about (though it is extremely imbalanced, but apparently IN players don't get anything important in the merge, so that won't be changed I guess). It is the people. Friends and I have thought of lots of ways to survive / counter the ganks. However, what happens when their mana runs out (which is actually a stupidly long time...)? Will they actually stay and fight you "normally?" I highly doubt that.
But really, hearing that we were merging with a PvP shard, I was looking forward to lots of good fights. I am now seeing that all the fights I was looking forward to will atually be nothing but scrolls and potions for a minute or so, followed most likely by lots of running and recalling.
