Ah ok. So that is there just to slow skillgain a bit?

And I also take it that it means you can gain by smelting somewhere between 2 and 6 at a time? So if you have 300 ores, smelting 6 at a time, that is still 50 extra chances for skillgain. Still not bad! And if its two at a time, thats 150 extra chances (as opposed to 300).

What is the exact minimum? Or is it something we have to find out?
