I was just thinking guys...Empty lots may not be as big as an issue as we think on a Sphere rep shard. Its safe to say that if there is no door anyone can just walk onto your empty lot. It has been made clear that there will be no carebear nonsense for housing here and house looting is legal. Yeah of course there will be those *******s who would just put up one wall and a door.

Im not a fan of the fee issue. If the fee keeps growing its just making the player deeper into debt, which will likely set him back from building in the first place. Then what will happen? Will the plot go into foreclosure ?:badgrin:

If you dont want empty plots its simple, just set a timer where the plot would auto destruct if nothing has been build on it within one week. If you want custom housing but no empty plots, then serious measures should be taken to ensure they dont pop up.

Also I love the idea of custom house deeds. Being able to create a house design and sell it to a player for x amount of dollars would create an entirely new trade on the shard. It might be cool that in order to build from a custom deed you would need some trade skills ( ie GM carpentry, tinkering, etc), which makes sense. Perhaps the deed could even be craftable, and NPCs wouldnt sell them.
