Because of the accurate I mentioned in the thread. I'm sorry.. did you miss it? I made its own headline and everything.. wierd.

And; Why do you think people is looking for rare mounts? Hmm.. The horses moves as fast as the rare mounts do, still they're 100 times more expensive.

maybe people buy rare mounts because they want a colored ride that looks cool. or maybe they want the colored ride to match it with their armor sets. or maybe they want the colored ride to match it with their RP or R/R items.

wearing leather armor doesn't make you look cool or rich. wearing adamantium armor matched with a ride makes you look pimp and rich.

to me, that serves more of a purpose then getting armor that will change your stats creating an imbalance between players. colored rides don't give an advantage in a duel, stat changing armor does.

Why would it?! There are already magic weapons with different accurate! Can you explane why it would have this "HUGE(!!!)" effect on the PVP when the magic weapons don't?

from my guess these types of weps have been around since the beginning of uo. we are also trying for a sphere replica. now if you log onto an AOS shard you will see all the items have different bonuses or drawbacks.

this isn't WoW or an AOS shard. nobody wants to check each piece of equipment someone is wearing and think ok this means bonus a and drawback b. so i should do x.

if it's not a serious duel i doubt people even bother checking someone's weapon. the only thing they take into consideration is someone's armor type (ie it's ar rating) which they can judge by looking at their player.

if it's a duel to decide the winner of a 30 player tournament, MAYBE people will look at the other player's weapon and see what it's stat bonuses are ie +5 or +15 tactics.

i never could remember what the best accuracy bonus is, for arguments sake lets say its emminently accurate with a bonus of +15 to tactics. now say each leather armor piece gives you 2 more to tactics... thats 6 armor pieces times 2 = another 12 to tactics giving you a bonus of 27.

now compare that to a player new to INX who only has regular iron armor and a regular bardiche. if each armor takes off some accuracy, lets say 2 again, he loses 12 points to tactics and he is a brand new player! i think coming to a new shard is hard enough. we shouldn't add in all this other junk to make the player have an even harder time adjusting.

XUO pvp is NOT meant to be item based, and doing this would infact make items take a roll in the pvp. if you compare the 2 above players, that gives an accuracy difference of 39 points just because of their items... not cool.

Pande Wrote:besides, most people will fight in a tour with good quality armor when they get it; most likely extreme armor.

Ok... It's very weird that there even are different types of armor, 20 different ores, if it is as you try to point out, that only the most extreme armor will be used. Shouldn't we just remove all of those and leave only the most extreme armors?

the extreme armor was an example it just happened to be the most common tour gear on xuo. nothing stopped people from using adamantium or death. oh... wait a sec... there was only 1 complete adamantium set, which happened to be on my roof for display and maybe 3 completed death sets, 1 on my roof for display, 1 belonging to ellebration who quit after 1 month, and 1 belonging to juggo buggo. not a high chance of that armor appearing either...

and btw, i don't need your sarcasm. if you don't agree or understand something i said, then ask. don't start screaming at me cause i don't need it.

hope you enjoyed my points Smile

Thanks,
GM Pande
