From what I understood it was an RP shroud and you are not allowed to steal roleplay items. Even if you manage to steal it somehow you can't use it anyway since it's for a roleplayer. And since the roleplayer got that as a reward for roleplaying it's not meant for anyone else.

Question- why is buying/selling donation items illegal in the first place? I would think someone could do whatever they like with something they paid for.

It's quite simple. Donations are very appreciated and we want to reward them, but we don't want a situation where people with real world money have an advantage over those who can't afford to donate.

Discord im not surprised youre shocked cause now you are finally seeing things from my perspective. Why baby the noobs? When I was noob I did all sorts foolish things and lost tons of stuff. But did I ever ***** and moan and call a GM to interfere? Never. Its part of the game and its why we play UO. Whats done is done, but I wanted to point it out because this is the second time I've be harassed by staff over some noob losing their gear to me.

Edit: John that stang is a quest reward... its not supposed to be tameable when its behind the fence. That's the reason why you couldn't tame if from any other angle then the one you were taming it from.

The reason we don't allow buying/selling of donation items is that we want people to be able to get something for taking the time to donate, but we don't want to let people be able to buy in-game money, skills, etc. In other words, someone who donates shouldn't get an advantage over people who can't donate, except in just cosmetic ways like clothes, a static, etc.

I'm not quite sure what the hell is going on in this thread. Is Lamby mad that he had to give back a donation item that he stole?

The rules page says "You cannot trade, steal or trick a player out of their skill reward."
Maybe we should update that to say "donation items" as well.

the screenshots you posted clearly show that there was absolutely no harassment. i'm getting so tired of all this ridiculous whining and complaining, especially about the staff who are doing an amazing job. it's players like you who make it hard to enhance our slice of UO. she should've jailed your stupid ass.

no offense but RP here is terribly watched and it's so easy to see that.. Players go around admitingly saying they have RP items and don't even RP..

i don't disagree. i wish RP was healthier but you can't force it. maybe if we had 3x more staffers they could spend time enforcing RP but that's not really realistic.
