Remove Referee
#1

Well since I'm still in jail and bored with nothing to do, I suggest remove the referee in tournies there's nothing positive too it and i'm pretty sure nobody likes it.

Another system is needed like box/fire fields/poison fields or something but referee just punches a random player it's very one sided and unfair. Don't know why it was even created you can't paralyze it or kill it.

Ha! I didn't know you were in jail... What'd you do?

killed your mates in the casino with silverwolf and goldbond and looted them, but lets keep this thread on topic because we at least agree on this thing

It was added so auto tours can't go on forever. Automated tournaments are supposed to go pretty fast imo and a 10 minute timer per fight ensures that. The final round can go on for 30 mins though.
When staff holds tours they can add extra walls, remove armors etc. but we don't really have that option with automated tours without it getting very complicated. This way it's completely random and the same for everyone.

Yeah but the outcome of the duel isn't fair at all, If I really wanted to be an ass I could slap on a shield play defensive until i hit the 10 min mark and have the referee decide fate. It's completely random and dying to it instead of the opponent is pretty frustrating and annoying. Something needs to be changed here a more balanced way to make duels go quicker maybe even taking away the players armor and then resupplying them after each round?

What about using a different method to determine the winner that takes into account what occurred during the duel? The winner after 10 minutes is the player who gave the most damage? Has the most scrolls or regs left?

I prefer stripping the person of their resources and/or armour.

e.g.
7 mins - helmet goes
8 mins - gorget, gloves go
9 mins - MR scrolls and GH pots go
10 mins - GH scrolls go
11 mins - Mana pots go

yeah this would work, although i'd prefer armor be taken away considering the hits will hurt much more with max weapons won't need to remove resources but then we would have to be resupplied for the next duel. (also don't forget to remove shields that counts as armor :p)

Again? We reported it the first time nobody died, then we tested it out and it still worked because staff said they fixed it apparently they didn't either way idc i got 5 hours left in jail

On topic, yeah the referee is one way to end a duel but it would be better if armor was removed. Not sure how easy that is though...

I think that removing armor is the only fair decision. As it's been said the referee chooses target randomly and the supplies removal makes it more item based.. If you remove GH scroll then first to dump wins for example. But without armor fight wouldn't go for more than 2-3 minutes... If it's hard to script to remove it, maybe making it so every player gets virtual armor set to -53(invul gear armor) after 10 mins would be easier? I'm not familiar with C#, but virtual armor sounds like the best way to do that...
#11

It'd be relatively easy either way. Virtual armour is a neat way to do it though. It's also nice to have something visual to see it has happened though.
#12

It wouldn't be difficult to remove the armor and that would give a visual cue. Obviously there would also be a message indicating what was going to happen.
